Patient and great customer service
I had switched over light companies and got approved with zero dollars down for a deposit with ambit. Ms. Shekayla was so knowledgeable of everything and helpful. We need more customer service reps/consultants/agents like her thanks ambit for providing me with great service for an affordable price BH from Houston TX

Great service and plans!
I used Ambit Energy when I lived in Dallas and really enjoyed the service I received. I also qualified for theirnfree energy program when I referred 15 people to the service. Now I'm in Austin and can't use the service BUT I was able to get the Free Energy credits transferred to my grandma in Houston who is still an Ambit Energy customer. That's so awesome! Ambit by far the best

I have been an Ambit Energy customer for two years. They are so customer friendly and so reliable. Their Representatives are on top of things and they make sure I get the best rate with no hassle. The Rep checks rates when they change and gets me the best. No worries about all the advertising gimmicks and bait and switch.

Loyal Customer

I've been a loyal customer for almost 10 years now. I had to switch accounts for my billing. In the switch, I accidentally attempted to pay the bill with my old account. Well, once I found out that I made the mistake, I was charged a late fee, disconnect notice fee, and a returned payment fee....Though these charges were only $57, I have a problem with them not waiving them because of my tenure and loyalty as a good customer. I have a house full and I shell out at times up to $500 a month or more for service. Quite disappointed.

Cancelling your account is a pain

I needed to cancel my account due moving to an area that does not offer ambit. When talking with the agent, she kept asking me why I want to cancel and when I explained that its due to where I was moving and that I have a new electric company, she used my forwarding address to look up to let me know that it is offered in my area (its not per the ambit website). I explained to her again that I want to cancel. She then proceeds to ask what company I am switching to and what rate they are offering. I told her that I do not need to give that information and that I just want to cancel. She said she needed the info to process the account cancellation. I asked to be transferred to someone else and was told that its not possible. I started to get aggravated as all I wanted to do was cancel. 15 minutes to cancel

They Cost Me More Money than I Saved with them

I had an electric supplier rate contract with Ambit with an end date in the middle of next month. I just happened to look at my electric bill and realized that I was actually billed the higher electric company standard rate for the last month and a half (during my Ambit contract, which shouldnt happen). I called my electric company and they told me to contact Ambit for an explanation. The Ambit representative tried to give me the runaround and blamed it on the electric company. She was evasive in answering my questions and said that a new PURA regulation caused this To happen to my account. What? Im an attorney and I can tell when someones lying. I called my electric company back, and a second rep told me that Ambit did not update my account information with them pursuant to the PURA regulation. It was Ambits fault and they lied and tried to cover their error. First I thought they just forgot to notify me but then I realize they actually caused the problem as well. Ambit left me a voicemail a few days ago, not to tell me what had happened or to reimburse me for the higher rate I paid, but to ask me to renew with them next month, and they asked me to renew with them again when I called today! This tells me they dont comply with regulations, and they lie to their customers. I wonder how many other customers were affected by their error and have not even noticed they are paying a higher rate yet. Ambit did nothing to try to make it right except try to blame the electric company for not notifying me, but I was Ambits electric supply customer. Im looking further into this and will be contacting my state AGs office.
