“ I used to use Reliant and Gexa Energy. They all have higher price than Constellation. But when the bills come to us, Constellation always have way higher bills(1/3 more). Average cost was $300 by Constellation. But for Reliant it was 100+ And Gexa was 200. It is sad that those companies sent out representative but their fees are never as advertised. ”
“ I have had a very bad experience with Constellation Electric company. This company has all incompetent professionals who do not know how to deal with customers. I was fighting for over 3 months for my bills and they could not give me a valid reason why. I have a Solar panel and I mentioned that to their consultant beginning of the contract. After 4 months later I found out that they do not even support solar. I ended up paying my all hiked-up bills. Their customer service never calls me back. Even though they have everything recorded in the system but they have no respect for their customers to at least return their calls in a timely manner. ”
“ Rates extremely misleading. Had short time to sign up for a provider. Constellation promised competitive rates. What a joke! Ended up paying over 40 cents per KWH! Instead of one bill per month, they did 4 in about 9 weeks so we had to pay the minimum charge every 2-1/2 weeks instead of monthly. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY ”
“ My attempt at their service begin December 2021. They made me deposit 150 dollars to signup. They couldnt switch my line first month. Asked me for another month. Even then, they couldnt switch for no reason that they could tell me. The supervisor told me theyll give statement credit for that month with my current provider since Id be paying 3x the price as Im no longer under their contract. I send them email with my bill. For 8 months I dont hear from them. They dont even send a single bill. On August or September, they send me all 8 months bills. They never gave me any statement credit. I talked with another supervisor for about 2 hours. She assured theyll fix everything and until then my account will be frozen so that I wont be paying anything until the issues are fixed. One month later another bill comes. No statement credit is given, but there is a late fee attached to it as well. They are either not doing what theyre saying theyre doing or dont have any sort of communication going on to fix my issues. ”
“ Signed up for a four month plan for my business. Was told by salesman they I would be notified when the plan was up so I could renew. They never contacted me plus my monthly charge even when I didn't use any gas was 74.00. It went up to 86.00 without notice. The notice came two weeks after it went up. Scheduled a disconnect late in July and was finally turned off first week in August and got charged for the full month of August. Received a late bill before I even got my regular bill. Received four bills in early July, each with different totals. I never missed a payment and have the records to prove it. I was promised refunds and discounts that never happened. Once I dropped service they started offering me all kinds of discounts and restaurant gift cards. Very disappointed in my experience. ”
“ After an automatic payment glitch, our service was cut off taking 5 days to reinstate it. The weather forecasted in the 30s I called customer service to complain. I felt like at least a text or phone call would have been in order before turning off such an important utility. I was told that would cost the company too much hassle. After being a loyal customer for 12 years, I was astounded how rudely I was treated and the lack of care that my kids would have no heat or hot water. I was told unfortunately they didnt have any availability to turn my gas back on even though I was on the phone while they were turning it off. Well they are gonna have one less customer to worry about contacting! ”
“ Does not deal with their customers directly, it uses other vendors for yoy conection service. And you can never get in touch with them. I have never had this bad of customers service. ”
“ I cancelled this service in April 2022 to go Solar. Part of the Solar program was to receive a $1000 energy credit. For some reason the payment was sent to Constellation Energy by mistake. I verified that my account was closed and no money was due and in fact they showed the $1000 credit. As of today 10-3-2022 I spoke to Joseph ID# C991358. It took me 5 different calls to reach a supervisor by the way. Joseph said that the payment will take an additional 4-6 weeks before I would receive these funds. He confirmed that my account closed April 16, 2022 and they received the $1000 on August 4, 2022 by mistake. I am writting this review to complain about this company keeping my $1000 for well over 2 months time and jerking me around each and every time I call to see where this money is. This is the worst energy provider and worse in customer service that I have ever dealt with. I want this review to hurt this company to the tune of keeping my refund for over 2 months of my time and effort calling in to inquire. Do not use Constellation Energy for anything. they are the absolute worst energy provider out there. I would rather use Martha's underwater basket weaving energy before I would ever use this terrible energy company. ”

I used to get an on-line informational invoice which let us know what was being deducted from our bank account every month. I tried to find that information via Constellation/replaced BG&E. No go via our previous registration with BG&are, so, I tried calling Constellations billing: also no go, in fact, there were no on-line directives to whom I could speak

“ They lied about cost, was on hold for two hours on two phones and they never answered. Took two days to cancel the order and a week later had to wait 3 hours for them to talk to me. They promised to send email confirmation of order cancelation and never did. All marketing and ads, no customer service. Stay away! ”
“ It has been 2 months since I signed up with Constellation as my natural gas provider. The actual switch did not occur until 27 July and I have yet seen an invoice from Center Point with Constellation on the invoice. Meanwhile, Constellation has enrolled me in their reward point program as invoices catch up. ”
“ My daughter expressed interest in changing the constellation but the electric is in my name so she gave them my email address and after being prompted many times to complete registration and not doing so, they went ahead and subscribed me. Their prices are so much higher than others available I would never have chosen them but they moved forward without my consent. ”

“ We recently purchased a new home and tried to switch Constellation over. When we renewed our 3 year contract, the sales guy told us that service is transferable if we move and we are guaranteed at the locked in price. After being on the phone for countless hrs, they insist on transferring service to the new home at a higher price than what we are in a contract for. So what is the point of a contract??? After being transferred to many reps, our call was finally escalated to the mgr. We received a call back from the mgr himself one week later and he said we can transfer the service but at a higher rate. We told him that this was not what we were told and was very dissatisfied with this service and will be writing a review. He hung up on us! TRUE SCAMMER action! We could easily just go with another provider but we believe in customer loyalty. Please do yourself a service and use some other company and not Constellation. It was a horrible experience from the getco, from setting up the account for auto pay to billing. ”

After multiple attempts, the first bill was corrected and the charges reversed. I received the third bill today and yet again I was charged last month and again this month. If you value your sanity, do not choose Constellation.
I got suckered in with a low per therm rate the first year. When renewal came up, the therm rate increased by 23 cents. No negotiation, no senior discount program. Customer service is a nightmare. Once you jump through multiple hoops, you are connected with someone in Mumbai who asks the same questions repeatedly. If there is a special request, e.g. ending service, you are connected to a "Specialist" who asks the same questions over and over and over. A simple request can turn into a fifteen minute phone call and then the "Specialist" asks how you rate the performance of the agent. I can't wait for my two year contract to end. Continental "may" have the lowest rate but it has the highest frustration rate of any utility that I have ever used. Stay away. You'll thank me later, Tater. ”
