Wow, you're particular! We don't have any plans that match your criteria :(Would you like to reset your filters? |
“ great company did exatly what they said in a timely manner and cut my biil by 40% ”
“ When shopping around recently for a new electrical supplier, I focused more on the suppliers' efforts regarding 'green' energy, the direction in which we all should be heading. Cheapest is not necessarily the best..... ”
“ We moved to PA from FL last year, are unfamiliar with gas heat and this billing system. However, we quickly realized we should compare supplier prices, saw your price/terms and decided to switch because you offered a reasonable price and terms. Since we've only received 2 bills, it's tough to evaluate but so far you've been very responsive and helpful to us. ”
“ Sorry I just switched to another company with a lower price after the bill came ”
“ They offer a $100 rebate for the plan I selected, $50 after the first month. They require you to mail the rebate form to them. I had to call to make they received the form. They did receive it but it took almost 2 more months to receive my rebate and they couldn't provide any information on the rebate status when I called several times. Come on Major, make the rebate process easier and electronic. I cancelled after receiving the first $50 rebate. Too much of a hassle. ”
“ Rates aren't much better than PPLs, but with the offered rebates they are less. Problem is rebate process is a huge hassle. Mailing is obsolete, but the only option they offer in order to request a rebate, as opposed to offering the ability to request online, or just paying when you meet the criteria. They claimed my rebate was never received from USPS and now w/o t pay the rebate since if changed suppliers. Avoid these butthats. ”
“ I own three properties which I changed my supplier online for all three properties to Major Energy on the same day. Instead of having the same start date they were all different, spanning over two months. I never received my rebate as promised even though I sent in an application for one of my properties. I eventually switched two of the properties to a different supplier, but because I was 15 days over my contracted date on the one property they charged me more then double, because it was billed as their variable rate. It cost me more for the 15 days with Major Energy then it cost my new supplier, AEP for a month. I called them they did not offer to change the last 15 days to my original contracted rate or want to work something out with me. So I switched over my last property I had with them back to ppl. Despite not receiving my rebates, I wish the company would have worked with me on the price gauging with my last bill. I wouldn't recommend them in the future. ”
“ I signed up for major received an order confirmation for 9.79 24 mo. Knew it was too good. Received my contract they changed the rate to 11.29. Needless to say I canceled them. ”
“ The person who represented Major Energy was a fast talking who made you feel that you were getting a great deal. The telephone numbers and names didn't match. Joshu stated he would give a me his managers number, but he answered the phone. What do you get out of deceiving people? I went to cancel, and I was informed it would cost me $100. but he would waive the cancelation fee. I haven't been an hour. Then overhearing others mention another name (outsourcing) ”
“ The company lures you in for a 8 cents KWH price and promised the same 8 cents KWH. However, does not and charges 18 cents KWH. I called a handful of times to address this dispute. Customer services claims Eversource has not adjusted the contract and continue to pay the Eversource bill of $322 a month and the company will reimburse the difference with a prepaid credit card. After four months later I am still paying the 18 cents KWH, no prepaid credit card and No action has been done from this company. ”
“ Scam company. Accepted us into the Ohio Choice Program then right before our service was to start they backed out. Now we are stuck with double the electric bills for 2 months. These guys are garbage and should not be in business. ”
“
This company is a MAJOR SCAM!!! Do not enroll in energy services with them
They will offer you a flat rate "intro offer" to entice you, and then cancel your service 1 month in. This is ridiculous. They then offer you way more expensive variable rates, classic bait and switch scam.
Customer service will not be able to explain to you why they cancelled. They will mess with you, put you on hold for minutes and not come up with any additional information. They just want you to hang up. They are clueless and awful at their job. ”
“ If I ran my business this way I wouldn't have any customers. RUN! ”
“ We recently moved into PA and are new to shopping for energy suppliers. My wife and I got a knock on the door around 6pm from two gentlemen saying they were part of UGI saying they were from Major Energy. I told them numerous times I was interested nor did I know what it was, when I walked away and my wife tried talking with them. They kept pressuring her and refusing to leave until she finally caved in and signed up not really knowing what it was. After doing research that night I saw all the scam reviews and lawsuits involving Major Energy. We finally got them to cancel before service started but they already had gave our information to another HVAC warranty company and signed us up for it called Cinch Home Services. DO NOT GET SCAMMED BY THESE PEOPLE! ”
“
I was just told that you can NOT NOW give me service! I have an approval letter, good thing I called today with a question.
Very poor way to do business, I will pass on the message.
I wasted a month waiting on your service ”
“ This was a scam he basically tricked me saying I would be gitting a $300 visa card ..but me no knowing I fell for it until I told some one else about the rebate and was told it's a scam this should be illegal and I will be reporting this to the p.u.c.o asap ”
“ This company makes a habit of offering a very low rate 'evergreen' plan. Evergreen means they will adjust their prices based on the market as they see fit. Read their BBB page to see the numerous accounts reporting the same scam. They will jack the price (for me, it was 20x the competition) and then retroactively back charge your account for several months to account for the energy cost change. I was hit with a charge totaling nearly $1500 for the previous 3 months one week before another nearly $500 charge for the upcoming month. To make matters worse, the process of transitioning between energy providers can take several months. So, I will be hit with two more $500 bills before I am transitioned to my new energy provider (which should amount to under $100 per billing cycle). This company ripped me off for nearly $3000 dollars. Their call center was an overseas company that seemed to have a script for handling my exact complaint. It is a shame that these predatory practices are allowed to continue. ”
“ Company charges triple the amount than local PECO ”
“ This energy supplier is a total scam. I am receiving multiple calls--almost on a daily basis--from telemarketers trying to get me to switch to Major Energy. It is the same telemarketing company. Yet they keep calling even though I told them I am not interested. They refuse to take my name off of their call list. I have already told my current energy supplier not to send out my information to these third-part telemarking companies. Each call is exactly the same: "You have been overcharged on your electric. Press 1 to receive your $50 dollar rebate check." Even the people who work there are starting to recognize me. I know them by name: Alex & Jack, Simon, Adam, Ben, Ricky, Steve Harvey ... PLEASE MAKE IT STOP! ”
“ i never went to major energy. please explain your email regarding your service that i never obtained ”
