“
I signed up my apartment and retail store with. Think energy in Connecticut. A friend who works for them told me they were under new ownership in 2023. So despite some o
past negative reviews. I decided to try them out. It was a good decision. They're saving me a lot of money, and my rate is locked for 3 years. No issues at all.
Highly recommend. ”
“ I'm in the PPL territory and I signed up for their Clean 36 plan. 3 year fixed rate with no fees or penalties. I like knowing exactly what my rate will be every month, especially when rates are high and expected to just go higher, over time. They sent me an email letting me know that my plan is 100% clean energy and that they're protecting 50 trees in the rainforest for every customer. Not bad. Think has a referral program where you can get long-term discounts on your rate for referring friends/family. Haven't used it yet, but will. ”
“ Think energy is great, ”
“ Terrible customer service in general and hard to get in contact with anyone. They overcharged me significantly on two invoices and re-write the invoices back to me. I was fine with this company until this situation occurred . I was informed by the rep as well to resign with them and my invoices would be re-written. That wasn't the plan and now I owe them $ 500 in total for two electric invoices in a small apartment. ”
“ Customer Service has not idea what my bill is or should be. I pay every month on-time. They switched billing companies mid-month and said I owed them $14 for 5 days, which I paid. Received notice of non-payment, called them, they said they received. Just received a disconnect notice plus $10 late fee for the $14. ”
“ I was told by the Sales person for Think that they would provide a buy back for my excess solar. BS!!!!!! They took my excess, and said they couldn't buy it back. (It's in the contract in uber small print. WHAT THEY SAY TO GET YOU TO SIGN UP, ISN'T TRUE.RIP OFF RIP OFF RIP OFF ”
“ I completely agree with everyone's low star rating on this company. Our rate went up without being told. Our bill was super high! My husband and I have called Customer Service to get our bill straighten out. It was super hard to hear the agent due to the loud background noise. The agent was not helpful and wasn't answering our questions. We then called the next day and asked for a manger and have our bill investigated. They told us it should take a few weeks with an answer. They never followed up on it! A month later, I had to contact them on the status of the investigation. The manager apologized through email and I'm now waiting for a phone call about our bill. I have a feeling we will have to pay this bill. What is frustrating is my husband and I are hardly home! How they jacked the price without telling us is complete bs. We got hosed by this company. Very, Very, Very disappointed in the Customer Service and overall Electrical Service. We cancelled Think Energy and will not be using them again. ”
“ I called to switch my electric supplier back in January. I followed up with several phone calls to ensure that the switch would take place. I trusted this company when they told me I was all set and the switch with her. Six months later I find out that we have been overpaying because my husband pays the bill and didnt check the supplier. When I called, think energy to complain about this, they could not find my account, nor had any record of my switch. I had emails that at least proved that I had contacted them and tried to switch, but they didnt care. This experience cost us several hundred dollars in overpayments. ”
“ be sure to check rates before your contract deadline ends. They do not tell you then double your rate. ”
“ I have been paying my bills with online bill pay through my bank for the last 3+years. we bought a new home and called to transfer service in January. We closed and moved in Feb 2023 no problems then in March I recieved a disconnect notice. I have never missed or been late on a payment. I called several times, finally get a rep that can somewhat explain that they had not recieved my payment I pulled up my bank account and sent them proof of payment, It was EFT as it had been from my bank. The rep demanded a copy of the check front and back telling me that the bank mailed them a check. I explained several times it was EFT (electronic funds transfers) Reps have poor listening and reading skills. I sent them proof of payment and they swear they never received any. Funny thing the only thing that changed was the account number for think energy. So how is it in January they have the payment but in February, March and April they Lost the payment? They have been taking EFT from my bank for as long as I have had them. CONTACT THE PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION OF TEXAS 1-888-782-8477 ”
“ Very poor customer service. They do not return phone calls. I called 5 times in 4 days and was never able to speak to a human. Left messages and received no return phone call. Billing does not match contract. Main problem is you can never speak to anyone from their company. ”
“
Think energy will sign you up for a contract, and when it is time for that contract to expire they will stop sending you invoices via mail / email. Do not sign up for autopay because they will draft a variable rate without any notice that is 3X the rate. Customer service is poor, wait times are long, please do yourself a favor and find a reputable company that does not have to steal to stay afloat.
Made a formal complaint with the utility commission and they confirmed they are not following the rules.
Run away, fast. ”
“ I had First Energy as my provider since buying this property-got a bill for almost $2800 in 3/2023-supposedly they changed my provider-not at my request-was told it was a billing error as to why I diy get a bill sooner ”
“ After two years of headaches with this company including claiming I was late on bills when they never sent them and charging $500 early termination fee when I moved to a new address but kept the same plan, they are now claiming I haven't paid bills for two months. Their new company suddenly can't accept electronic payments even though it was working fine for as long as I can remember. Awful customer service team, and potentially nonexistent financial department. ”

I have been a Think Energy customer since 2016. No problem until Nov/December 2022. Since then they can not find electronic bill payments. Think Energy has lost 4 of my last 6 payments. When my Bank contacts Think they refuse to believe them. When the bank offers proof, Think requires the bank mail the proof - of course nobody can ever find the mail at Think. Thank goodness my contract is up in 4 months. Never Again will I use Think Energy, they could be giving free electricity away and I would not accept it! ”
“
Think Energy can't procecc an electronic payment. they only handle check or credit card payments. It takes them10 days to process a check. Poor service.
Save yourself headakes choose a different provider. ”
“ Can't process payments in a timley manner. You need to ues personal check or credit card. Electronic bill pay is not available. When contacting customer service nothing is their falt. Poor service. Find a nother provider. ”
“ If I could give a 0 rating I would. The transition during the sell of Think Energy was horrible. The customer service was anything but helpful and it cost the customer money from their short comings. Do not sign with Think Energy ”
“ They will continue to bill you even if you move and fill their paperwork out. ”
“ The rates seem good and they are, but when you try to switch providers you are caught in no mans land and they charge you their no contract which rate which is about double. Switching to my towns plan as cost me $75 on one bill and $95 on the next. I would have been better off canceling my contract and paying the fee. ”
