I ordered service to start on 3/1/2024. I was never notified when to expect the first bill. As I did not request e-bills, So as of 4/4/2024 I began to watch the mailbox for my first invoice. As the middle of the month approached, I decided to call and ask when to expect the bill. To my astonishment, on or around 4/12/2024, I was told that the first bill was actually generated on 3/8/24 and since it had not been paid a letter of disconnection had been sent out. After speaking to the Customer Service Rep, we were able to sort everything out that day and I had my bank to send an immediate payment, in addition the Customer Service personnel was able to have the late fee reversed. She was extremely helpful. The disconnect with the billing dept not mailing or emailing me the first invoice.
Other than this initial hickup the company is doing great. ”

“ Ive been a customer with Xoom for 3 years. Unfortunately I have to say that on my last move and switch over my lights were disconnected after 2 weeks only to find out that my lights were not switched over properly and no one could solve my issue and Im without lights for 24 to 48 hours after being on the phone for almost 2 hours of unanswered questions. This sucks for a loyal customer of 3 years of service. I was told that I had to wait on a release order because of the tenants before me witch should have happened at the time of my switch. There goes my food and its cold. ”

New customer here and not very impressed. Their prices may be competitive, but is it worth the hassle of going back 20 years in how you pay bills?
1. Detailed bills are ONLY available if you have a paper copy mailed to you. You can see the balance in an email that they will send or on their payment portal but not a detailed bill.
2. My first payment was sent by the bank as an check (apparently Xoom can't receive a e-payment) and arrived prior to the due date, but it was not posted until 10 days after the due date and marked late. I was informed that the only way to ensure that payment is marked as received on time is to call, make a payment on their portal, or set up auto pay. I only use auto pay with trusted companies and Xoom had not earned my trust. ”
“ I was sold Xoom Energy through an ACN rep. The initial rate was low, but noticed my bills shot up and stayed that way. After comparing with my standard service provider, they told me I was paying three times as much for my therms and kilowatts. I cancelled soon after and now my bills are back to normal again. ”
