Excellent Service Thus Far
We just moved to a new house this past April and Eversource has been there with us every step. The one time we did lose power they were able to quickly restore us. I love that you can pay online. When I have questions I am usually connected to a live person quickly with an effective resolution. They also had the best pricing at the time we decided to purchase. |

Customer Service During Covid 19 Pandemic
On Friday afternoon 4/3 we heard a loud noise and our power went out. I called Eversource and spoke with a helpful customer service rep who was calm and reassuring. I was then contacted by text and phone with status updates. The power was restored before the estimated time. During this very difficult time I want to say how much this was appreciated not only by me but by the other 92 people who were affected. Please thank the crew who gave up their evening and worked to restore power quickly, especially since we all need to stay at home. There are many things I don't think I'll ever take for granted again, and electricity is definitely one of them. Thank you! |

Efficient Service
We lived in Ellington CT and Eversource was our supplier of both electicity and gas. We have since moved, however during our two years with Eversource, we never had any problems, we had our service connected and disconnected in a timely fashion, customer service was helpful and responsive, and billing and payment was easy online. Would highly recommend to anyone. |

Good company for a long term supplier
The customer service rep helping me set up my service, and any calls thereafter were handled perfectly. It would be more helpful if their bill was easier to navigate. It's not very clear on how many KWh I used per month. Price is competitive, and not as fluctuating like a third party supplier. |

Eversource in CT
Moving across state lines was difficult but our utility service change was easy and one of the things we needed taken care of the most. We didn't have to wait for a representative to come to the house, it was all done via telephone, giving us more time to take care of our move. We were able to stop service and start service without any problem at all. |

Eversource provides quality service. They ran a promotion and subsidy a few years ago and we were able to install a more energy efficient furnace at a fraction of the cost. They are like CL and P but with better customer service |

Decent and Acceptable Service
Eversource was one of the only companies offered where I live so I had to choose them. I was a bit worried about them at first, but I have to say that they are better than I expected. They have been really consistent and easy to communicate with. They are fair with their prices and have good service. I have experienced a few power outages but they were quick to resolve that. Overall, I would say that they are a fair choice |

Poor customer service
Customer service is poor. After waiting on hold for 20 minutes, I was moved to the wrong department. I was disconnected while on hold for the "right" department. I had to call several times because the system requires you to specify the reason when I did, it didn't comprehend and assumed there was a power outage. As a result, I had to make several calls. |

I've lived in CT my whole life (52 yrs) I have never thought about moving out of CT. Since this Public Benefits scandal. I am actively researching the best state to move to that is not full of corruption, deceit and theft at it's highest level. I've raised my family here and I hold business licensing in CT, which I will have to test for and get re-licensed when I move out of state - not a small undertaking. Over the last year we had been paying approximately $40/month to Public Benefits. This fee was not outrageous (not loved) but was ok. Then our PB fee went up to $170 in July, then $248 in August. These fees are outrageous. Our CT government is full of corruption. I am working hard to move out of CT as soon as possible. |

Scammers
Doesn't matter how little you use your electricity they will always make you pay a ridiculous amount. There are families with zero electricity because you keep rasing the rates. AWFUL.
Eversource- one of your drivers was driving MANIACALLY on the Merritt Parkway and almost HIT my daughter and almost swerved into her. Then when she was so scared to the point where she had to get off at a random exit (exit 36, Old Stamford Rd in New Canaan) just so she could pull over and call me, the eversource car FOLLOWED her and the man driving proceeded to roll down his window and scream and yell and curse at her. So uncalled for, disrespectful, and terrifying for a young driver! Please tell your drivers to drive safer, be more attentive and aware, and to work on controlling road rage! And even if my daughter wasnt driving the safest, that is still ZERO grounds for following her and screaming at her while shes driving, and while he was driving as well!! Tell your drivers to read the DMV manual on DISTRACTED DRIVING AND ROAD RAGE!! So unprofessional, and unsafe! |

Very very bad company
I am a diabetic u live alone after I pay my bill they didnt give my electricity yet my insulin get damaged with the heat and I keep calling them every hour for 3 days but they keep telling me the are coming with a tracking to open for you the electricity they did take the money but they left me with nothing and $888 if insulin damaged and I am at risk for a stroke they left me I. Confusing shut off notice
I get your next bill is due Feb 19th which includes outstanding charges. I also get a pay in full by Feb 8th or we shut off your power and gas. On top of this, emails on my usage and insurance plans to purchase. It really annoys me to threaten shut off my service in 2 days and also say I don't have to pay for 3 weeks. I am currently in the dark because I was not informed by Eversource that I needed to set up an account in my name. I did not receive a notice of disconnection. I mentioned this to customer service who, thanks to company policy, are not helpful at all. Refunds
I had the bills autopaid by my bank. Big mistake. They took payment for a bill but the day before that they made out the next month's bill, so didn't have to take into account the 1st payment. So that second month they took payment for both which meant that I had paid the first month twice. Called to request a refund. Told I need to call back tomorrow to do a 3 way phone call with my bank so MY bank can tell them that the payments have cleared. It's on their system as posted but ... Then they apply for a check , wait 5 business days, then they have to product & send the check, approx 2 weeks. She said wire transfer then said she didn't say that (I wasn't the only person listening and said in a vaguely threatening way "this is a recorded line", I can only hope that recording is made available to me when I need it! If I receive it then it will be just in time for the next bill to be due. They are price gauging, overcharging and cheating by billing the next cycle before the first payment was due & taken from my bank account. This can't be legal. How bad does it have to get before we have a class action? |

MONEY SUCKERS
It is absolutely disgusting that the delivery charge is twice the amount the bills are especially because the more usage I use doesn't take more wiring to deliver it... Eversource is one of the very few electric companies that steal so much money from their clients because they know in our state we have nobody else that we can go to ever source is part of the reason why I'm leaving Connecticut pretty sad I lived in North Carolina and I have plenty of family that still lives in North Carolina and even through all this inflation and prices rising the delivery charge in North Carolina went up one cent one single penny all they charge you is $14.01 it's sad that Connecticut and all these other states allow ever source to literally steal money from people who have absolutely no option I should not have to pay almost $1,000 a month just to heat my house for my toddler but guess what that's how much my light bill is a month!!!! |

Customer Service is HORRIBLE!!!
Ive been with eversource for over ten years and normally have no complaints. I hate that they are the only provider around because as of recently their prices are sky high!! I had a issue with my recent bill being double what I would normally pay and I was told nothing can be done and unfortunately I have to just deal with the high rates. After missing 1 month of payment a notice was sent out to cavern my services and a week later someone came and turned my power off even though my payment was pending. Then to have my services turned back on they charged me to pay my bill again because it wasnt processed on their end and also an additional $110 to get services turned back on same day. I have small kids so I cant wait till the next day which I was told that I would also be required to pay $50 to turn on next day. I would not recommend solely based on my experience today. In my 10 years Ive never missed a payment or had issues and the one time I missed a payment there was no compassion and I was forced to pay extra money on top of the increase of my services. If I had another option in provider I would leave in a heart beat. And because they know they are the only provider in the area they take advantage of their customers. Worst experience ever dealing with customer service representatives!! If you are able to look elsewhere for services I would advise you do so!!! |

Billing Issues
Eversource shut off our electricity after a billing error on their end and did not make any effort to reach out to us beforehand. As a result our electricity will not be turned back on until tomorrow. We have autopay setup and our most up-to-date contact info on file. Given our current climate, a lot of individuals are working from home. This situation is unacceptable, especially because this is not the first time it has happened. Will be searching for a new company, with a more organized billing system. |

The worst company we have to deal with
The worst monopolistic company in America. If we had a choice to switch to another provider we would do this. As a small business company with a small rental building, we are not happy with their services at all! We have to deal with this company that can't even train its employees properly. They never know who said what previously, they never can address any questions, they never can explain why they didn't send the bills for 6 months, and then suddenly we got one with total charges for 6 months. They have a mess with their meters for tenants, making mistakes every other year and charging us, the owners, for them. Good luck trying to figure out what you were charged for. Looks like it's easier for us to pay extra to them than dealing with their customer service. |

Billionaires' Monopoly!
Eversource has monopoly on energy delivery in CT. Even if you pick a different supplier, you will pay at least double your cost per kilowatt for the privilege of delivery. Delivery works great unless there is a storm or other issue. Although the delivery charges are supposed to pay for maintenance etc of lines so that if there is an issue with a storm, Eversource is prepared. Please. Eversource is a for profit company and everyone who moves to CT is shocked at the price not only of supply but more, of their delivery charges. Here are some stats: Eversource profits Feb 2021: $1.2 billion. 2019 profits: $909.1 million. 2018: $26.3 million. You do the math. Poor service, steadily increasing rates and my goodness, profits are going from millions to billions. With continuing unreliable service. |

Second time this year ever source has left us without power for days one week during the broiling hot summer and now they have stolen Christmas day from us although allegedly having crews "strategically placed throughout the state" It's below 20 outside now there is no hope of power until midnight tonight We are on day number two and have completely missed Christmas and it's bitterly cold inside the house why is this acceptable? Why is the rest of the state being restored while the western part of the state is still a disaster and no power for day number two? Eversource is the Grinch that stole Christmas and left us to sit in the dark and cold. They couldn't care less about how they treat their customers. If you can get to a human being they just give you lip service and downright tell lies . What makes this even a more bitter pill to swallow is the outrageous amount of money they are charging for their service or lack thereof |

Awful Company
No one there is on the same page regarding policies. Many problems occur with billing, matching payments, etc. Many uncooperative, unprofessional and un knowledgeable employees!!!!! So much better when it was CL&P!!! |

The Worst
I just moved into my apartment. Im currently 39 weeks pregnant and its winter. My service was disconnected without warning. No one called or emailed, they only claimed they sent a notice to my mailbox, which is impossible because its broken. Theres no emergency technicians to fix urgent situations after hours or on weekends. So rather than being empathetic, the call center is rude and tells a 39 week pregnant woman to go to a hotel or relatives house and try back on Monday. Ive never received a bill and was never notified that my service was conditional until they received a copy of my drivers license. So now Im without power in 20 degree weather at full-term pregnant and they dont care to rectify the situation quickly or make it a priority it even for Monday. Im just told to try back when they are open on Monday. Its completely irresponsible to not have protocol in place for urgent situations and the call center is completely incompetent but they are aware that this bull crap is completely legal, so they dont care. I cannot wait to talk to a manager on Monday to hear their excuse for the absence of actual customer service. |

CONARTISTS
I called in because my power was unrightfully shut off. They said my bill wasnt paid in October or November when I had bank statements that proved otherwise. They asked for $600 for my power to be turned back on and another $107 on my next bill because they screwed up? Now Im home freezing with the stomach bug because of these ASSHOLES. Not to mention their customer service blows and their escalation team is a joke - no one can do anything but break laws, scam people and be rude as hell there. |

DISINGENUOUS COMPANY
The customer service with Eversource is awful. The employees are unkind, disingenuous, and not very helpful. Our electric bill is outrageous and we live in a house that is fairly new (built in 2008). Their billing department employees are uncaring and display little empathy for fellow CT residents. The supervisors in the financial dept. are even worse. It appears this company doesnt care about the residents in the great state of CT. Its about the almighty dollar and getting paid. Not making sure that families have heat during the frigid winter months. Disappointed. |

Evil company
The customer service reps might as well not even be there because all they do is read info off the screen which you can see for yourself online. They hang up on you, they laugh when youre upset, they repeat the same scripted responses. Theres nothing we can do. Theyre too big. They stomp all over us and we have to take it. |

Awful.
I have had so many problems with eversource. A few of these problems resulted with me losing my heat in the winter and losing electricity (AC) in the summer. I once had a past due bill because of them, my email and account said the 20th but then my electricity was shut off July 11th. So I paid the bill immediately but they cant turn it on until tomorrow. Mind you Im on the 3rd floor so it gets very hot. Terrible company. |

Poor customer service
I made a payment to eversource that was accepted and confirmed but never actually went through. I wasnt notified about this otherwise I would have re-submitted it. So 7 days later my power was shut off. So I contacted them to get things cleared up and restore my power. Long story short even tho I paid the ridiculous amount of money ($310 security deposit) they wouldnt turn my power back on until the next day! This was the first time this has ever happened to me and They wouldnt work with me in any way possible. Very bad customer service, if I could I would change providers. |
